As the traffic slows and our teams can breathe, Bannerfest season is finally upon us. Our Ohio property, Regency Arms, and various corporate team members participated in numerous outdoor activities for their outing. The day started with a friendly 5 mile canoe race ending with lunch and a relaxing horseback ride. Check out some of the pictures below.
Many of your may remember Rob Mooney, Maintenance Supervisor for the Enclave at Winghaven, competed in the 2015 National Maintenance Mania Competition at NAA. We are so excited to announce that he will be competing for a second year in a row under the Wild Card spot!
Rob wasn’t able to place in his usual region because his wife was giving birth to his most recent child (an excuse I am sure she is happy he made). Rob made the journey to Kansas City to try his luck at their regional competition and he blew everyone out of the water! Since he is not employed in that region, he had to receive approval from NAA and he was granted the Wild Card spot. Not to reveal his winning times, he placed:
Water Heater: 3rd
Fire Safety: 1st
Key Control: 1st
Ceiling Fan: 1st
Everyone is so excited to see how Rob fairs at Nationals in San Francisco in June of this year. Results to follow!
Goodbye New Year’s Resolutions, Banner is ready to eat! The Illinois properties, Indiana Property, and Corporate team got together to celebrate the culmination of 2015 at Texas de Brazil in Schaumburg, IL. Good food, good friends, a heartfelt farewell and words of encouragement to new challenges and changes. After an event like this, its hard to not re-energize yourself for the year to come. Thank you to the Greenway staff for organizing this luncheon and make it a Banner Year!
Who says group meetings can’t be fun?! Laura Ryan, Regional Manager for NC and OH, planned a gathering that was both educational and enjoyable at the same time for her Managers and Maintenance Supervisors. The teams met in Raleigh for their Manager/Supervisor meeting and after a few hours of Collection procedures, property winterization, handling disasters, an introduction to their disaster company, and the new hire policy, the teams moved on to the 3 hour “following directions” portion of the day. No one was prepared for the fun task at hand! Laura had a caricature artist draw representations of everyone present and each individual painted them self! That’s coloring outside the lines if you know what I mean. Make sure to check out pictures from the event below!
